The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Korea invites you to its upcoming Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, 'Yeouido Hangang Eco Conservation Project' on Saturday, 29th of May.
The project aims to provide a platform for the business community an opportunity to give back to the community by coming together and assisting with the upkeep and rejuvenation of the Saetgang Ecological Park, which is a 758,000㎡ nature park located along the Han River in Yeouido, Seoul.
The Saetgang Center, which was opened in March 2019 oversees the Saetgang Ecological Park, and since 2020, has been working on the removal of ecological disturbing species such as thorns and round ginseng vines that have covered the Saetgang forest.
In addition, the Center has also successfully planted 6500 saetral trees on the south side of Saetgang Park, around 3.5km along the Olympic Highway. The trees are resistant to pollution and retains its leaves all year round, playing an important role in removing dust and noise.
Working with the Saetgang Center, AustCham Korea will be seeking corporate volunteers, guests and their families to assist in the upkeep of the Ecological Park.
If your organisation would like to sponsor or participate in the initiative, please reach out to one of the AustCham Team by emailing events@austchamkorea.org for more information.
