Mr Robinson is a highly experienced senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He has worked extensively across a wide range of North Asia and international security, strategic policy and other matters. He has previously served overseas in Japan and the United States, and he is now in the Republic of Korea for the third time.
His inaugural overseas assignment was in Seoul from 1988-1992, followed by a tenure as Deputy Head of Mission from 2007-2011. His experience in Korea dates back to his university years in the early 1980s.
