The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Korea welcomes you to our upcoming Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, 'Yeouido Hangang Eco Conservation Project' on Saturday, 7th of May.
The project aims to provide an opportunity for the business community to give back by coming together and assisting with the upkeep and rejuvenation of the Saetgang Ecological Park, which is a 758,000㎡ nature park located along the Han River in Yeouido, Seoul.
The Saetgang Center, which opened in March 2019, oversees the Saetgang Ecological Park and has been working on the removal of ecological disturbing species such as thorns and round ginseng vines that have covered the Saetgang forest. In addition, the Center has also successfully planted 6500 saetral trees on the south side of Saetgang Park, around 3.5 km along the Olympic Highway. The trees are resistant to pollution and retain their leaves all year round, playing an important role in removing dust and noise.
Working with the Saetgang Center, AustCham Korea will be seeking corporate volunteers, guests, and families to assist in the upkeep of the Ecological Park. AustCham welcomes donations to the initiative, as well as general registrations for volunteers.
