Gordon Flake is the founding CEO of the Perth USAsia Centre at The University of Western Australia. Professor Flake is one of Australia’s leading authorities on the Indo-Pacific, with a particular specialisation on Korea having spent nearly three decades focused on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia. Prior to establishing the Centre, he was the Executive Director of the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation, an Associate Director of the Program on Conflict Resolution at The Atlantic Council of the United States, and Director for Research and Academic Affairs at the Korea Economic Institute of America.
Dr. Robert E. Kelly is a Professor of International Relations in the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy at Pusan National University in South Korea. His research interests focus on security in northeast Asia, US foreign policy, and the international financial institutions. He has written for outlets including Foreign Affairs, the European Journal of International Relations, and the Economist, and he has spoken on television news services including BBC and CCTV.
Min Joo Kim is a reporter in The Washington Post's Seoul bureau covering the Korean peninsula. She has written extensively on the region's politics and diplomacy, with a focus on US-Korea relations. Among the stories she’s covered are the Trump-Kim nuclear talks, North Korea's evasion of sanctions, and most recently, South Korea's strategy to combat coronavirus. She has appeared on major English-language media outlets including the BBC.
